Vacation Videos
You dropped a bomb on me, by the Gap Band.
The person who made this left a minute of black at the end, so when the music stops you can go on to something else, if you want.
Oh my God this woman is gorgeous and has great taste in music.

What I'm doing this weekend
The McChord Air Expo
It's Free!
As a thank you to the Puget Sound communities, which have given McChord tremendous and unwavering support, the Air Expo 2008 will be a world-class event. In addition to a number of civilian and military flying acts and numerous static displays, the show features the Air Force's world-renowned aerial demonstration team, the Thunderbirds.
At McChord Air Force Base. Photos and "hopefully" a video to follow.
Update: I have photos and a movie at my geobent blog.
And has always lots more photos at my Flickr site.

Chain Mail
I don't forward these but I do get quite a few so I think I'll just post the really good ones here from time to time, with the "send this to 5 other people and/or something good/bad will happen to you " removed.
Today's post is the old God is Busy story with a professor and a marine
A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.
One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU. One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, 'God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes.' The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, 'Here I am God. I'm still waiting.'
It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, 'What the heck is the ma! tter with you? Why did you do that?' The Marine calmly replied, 'God was too busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot. So, He sent me.'

Sad news
My step father has cancer and will pass away soon. This is making things hard for my mother who had separated from him some time ago but not legally divorced. She had to fly to Phoenix to help him move into a hospice and now His family and ours is waiting for the end to come. Your prayers are welcome as always.

Things you didn't know about Washingtonians
Today at work I had a job for a customer with a very unusual name. Now I cannot really call it all that usual because that would mean I had not lived in this state for more than 14 years. The name Steilacoom is not all that unusual for western Washington. So I was thinking of how easy it was for me to say that name correctly and how that was proof I live in Western Washington and I thought I should make a list of all the things that are unique to Western Washington. So here it goes
- The United States of America begins east of the cascades.
- The city of Portland is like an ugly sister but you say she's beautiful because she's family.
- People like Canada a lot but they're willing to wait for Washington to change.
- All the small towns have Indian names, to make it easier to spot people from out of state.
- If you can count the sunny days in a month on both hands, you call it summer.
- Your friend tells you about their California vacation and your first question is, what is smog?
- People actually take the ferry to get to work.
- There really is an espresso stand on every corner, but a cup of coffee is hard to find.
- You have used every setting on your adjustable windshield wipers and you wish you had one more.
- You wear a jacket every day, but only when it's cold.

Just a little something
To keep this page fresh no real news except that my computer died, I still have my laptop and my old desktop for watching TV but my main gamer computer died at a time when I could not afford to replace it. I'll be ok though. I'm putting the Sims2 on my laptop so I can play with my dolls again. (the Sims2 is a computer doll house game, fun and addicting)
I did one of those "what kind of" quiz. This one is what kind of tarot card are you
You are The Wheel of Fortune
Good fortune and happiness but sometimes a species of intoxication with success
The Wheel of Fortune is all about big things, luck, change, fortune. Almost always good fortune. You are lucky in all things that you do and happy with the things that come to you. Be careful that success does not go to your head however. Sometimes luck can change.
What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.
So that's it, like I said Just a little something.
